Our new Crochet Club is stitching together fun, friendship, and creativity! Each week, 10-15 residents (and even a few staff members!) gather to crochet—some crafting cozy throw blankets, others picking up a hook for the first time, and many rediscovering a skill they haven’t used in years. Residents enjoyed a mouthwatering menu crafted by Chef Karl, featuring: 🐟 Fried Louisiana Catfish with Cajun Corn Maque Choux, Creole Rice & Honey Bourbon Carrots 🍲 New Orleans Gumbo with Chicken, Andouille Sausage & Shrimp over Steamed Rice 🍌 Fried Beignets drizzled with Bananas Foster Sauce With fun décor, masks, and classic Mardi Gras tunes, it was a night full of flavor and fun! 💜💛💚 #MardiGras #PositveAgingExperience

He shared his favorite recipe and the secrets behind making the perfect Upper Peninsula pasty. To top it off, we paired these hearty hand pies with specialty beers for the ultimate UP-inspired experience. 💖 Love was in the air—and on the menu—at our Valentine’s Mixer Dinner! 💕 Our community came together, dressed in festive shades of red and pink, to enjoy an evening filled with great company and incredible cuisine. 🍽️✨ From olive oil poached halibut with wild mushrooms to braised beef short ribs with roasted carrots, and a deliciously rich creamy polenta with wild mushroom ragu, every bite was made with love. ❤️ The evening concluded with lively entertainment by “Big Foot” Bob a talented Chelsea musician who played keyboard, saxophone, and sang. Many were seen tapping their feet, swaying to the music and even singing along at times, making it a night to remember! 🎶💫 Here’s to friendships, laughter, and shared moments that make Silver Maples feel like home. #ValentinesDay
