Celebrating Kathleen Griffiths’ Lifetime Achievement Award

As we reflect on the remarkable people who call Silver Maples home, we are proud to recognize resident Kathleen Griffiths, who was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Emergent Health Partners for her long-term and outstanding contributions to Huron Valley Ambulance and the emergency medical services (EMS) system in our community.

Recipients of this award are selected based on sustained leadership and meaningful impact—individuals whose dedication has strengthened ambulance services and the broader EMS system over time. Kathleen exemplifies these qualities through decades of compassionate, mission-driven service.

Kathleen spent 30 years at Chelsea Community Hospital, retiring as President and CEO, where she was widely respected for her commitment to quality care and patient satisfaction. Her leadership helped earn the hospital multiple awards and left a lasting mark on the organization and the community it serves.

Beyond her professional role, Kathleen was a steadfast advocate for EMS, generously sharing her time and expertise through nearly 20 years of service on the Emergent Health Partners and Huron Valley Ambulance boards, including time as Board Chair. Her guidance and belief in the vital role of emergency medical services were instrumental in supporting the health and safety of our region.

Kathleen’s lifelong commitment to serving others reflects the very best of community leadership and the lasting impact one person can make. We are incredibly proud of this well-deserved recognition and honored that she is part of the Silver Maples community.
