Gallery 100 is proud to present “Moments in Time,” a compelling exhibition that brings together the distinct yet complementary visions of photographer Elizabeth Garrett and painter Lisa Grizaniuk. Through film photography and vibrant brushwork, the artists invite viewers to pause, reflect, and find beauty in the transitory.
Elizabeth Garrett’s photographs, captured on film with a point-and-shoot camera, document the fleeting charm of urban streetscapes and natural landscapes across the Western Hemisphere. Her work, often shot in sun-drenched light, offers quiet meditations on spaces that have since changed or vanished. A Detroit-based artist with a background in English from CUNY Hunter College, Garrett’s images have been exhibited at the Detroit Sidewalk Festival and featured in a 2023 Puerto Rico photo calendar.
Grizaniuk’s colorful paintings reflect a lifelong devotion to the Midwest’s landscapes and seasonal rhythms. Raised in Toledo, Ohio, and educated at the University of Toledo, where she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in art, Grizaniuk draws inspiration from the ordinary and the enduring. “The Midwest has offered me an abundance of subject matter, and I will forever love it,” she says.

Together, Garrett and Grizaniuk invite visitors on a visual journey through impermanence, nostalgia, and place—each piece a moment suspended in time.
