September and October’s Gallery 100 Exhibit “Off the Wall” literally and figuratively lives up to its name! Made up of original artwork owned by Silver Maples residents, it features pieces taken off the walls of residents’ apartments and is an eclectic mix of media and subject matter.

Residents interested in participating were asked to pick a favorite piece or two of original artwork that they own. While some are pieces that were originally purchased at art shows and galleries, several of the artists are relatives of Silver Maples Residents, not to mention the two residents who submitted pieces that they created!

Be sure to take the time to read the labels when you visit. Participants were asked to share a few sentences about why the art they submitted is meaningful to them. Some share the story of how the piece was acquired, some give background on the artist, and some highlight a particular aspect of the art. All are worth the read!

Because all of the art has empty spots on apartment walls to return to, nothing is for sale, but it’s worth a visit just to view this engaging assortment of favorite art!

Gallery 100 is located at 100 Silver Maples Dr. and is open to the public Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:30pm, Sat. 10am-5pm, and Sun. 10am-5pm.
