If you know anything about Silver Maples, then you know that retirement’s been redefined. And now this Chelsea non-profit retirement “neighborhood,” has a new look to match its vibrant, dynamic soul.
“Over the past few years, Silver Maples has been setting a new standard for what it means for people looking to relocate to a retirement community,” said Steve Rolston, CEO and president of Silver Maples of Chelsea.
“In a nutshell, what we do here is different from just about any place I’ve ever worked or visited. It’s the people, the events, the look, the feel, the travel, the arts, the music, the food, the location. It’s just a cool, rockin’ place.”
To that end, he adds, Silver Maples felt the need to have their brand and logo match the reality of Silver Maples’ essence. Hence the new logo and new terminology.

“We’re a ‘retirement neighborhood’ and that means when you move to Silver Maples, you’re moving to a place filled with friends and neighbors.”
Rolston said that if he had to pick one thing that truly exemplifies Silver Maples, he would have to say it’s the people.
“When the ad agency started to explore and research Silver Maples in order for them to start the creative process, they were wowed by what they saw,” Rolston remembers. “In fact, their comment was, “We’ve met more interesting people here in the last 6 hours than we’ve met our whole lives.”
Lois deLeon happens to be one of those people. She moved from Cleveland five years ago and has since become the resident volunteer coordinator for Silver Maples’ Gallery 100, a member of the Art Committee, and a Farmer’s Market groupie.
“What I love about being here is that I’m having more fun, and doing more things that I like to do than I ever had time for when I was working,” she said.
“I love the way Silver Maples is integrated into the greater Chelsea community in so many ways. We’re not an island of old people. Through our partnerships and outreach, we’re part of what makes Chelsea a special place to work, live, and visit.”

The entire Silver Maples community is excited about the new logo and other branding measures that will better tell the story of this unique retirement neighborhood. Staff and residents alike know all about where they live and work and they want everyone else to know, too.
