Silver Maples of Chelsea to Host 16th Annual Harvest Art Market on October 5

Silver Maples of Chelsea is excited to announce its 16th Annual Harvest Art Market, taking place on Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 100 Silver Maples Dr. This much-loved event, known as “the best little art market west of Ann Arbor,” will showcase a diverse collection of handmade goods from over 20 talented artisans.

Visitors can explore an impressive variety of media, including paintings, fiber art, textile fashions, jewelry, pottery, woodwork, photography, and more. Also featured will be handmade cards, and mixed media collage ensuring there’s something for everyone. A delicious bake sale with an assortment of cookies, cakes, brownies, and breads will also be available to satisfy sweet cravings.

“The goal of this market is to provide unique, handmade items at fair prices. That’s the type of artist we welcome and who finds success here,” said Life Enrichment Director Winn Nichols. “With such a great variety of booths, you’re bound to find something special, whether it’s a one-of-a-kind gift for the holidays or a treat for yourself.”

This year’s event features both new and returning artists, including Ruth Hogan Krzyzowski’s stunning landscape paintings, Agnes Soderbeck’s beautifully crafted felted scarves, Lindsey Dahl’s expressively painted animals and David Kaemming’s whimsical ceramic and mixed media pieces. Cheryl Green, whose functional pottery is always a crowd favorite, is returning as well. “I’ve been part of the Harvest Art Market since the very beginning,” said Green. “Silver Maples is a lovely venue, and the quality of the art is excellent. It’s a fantastic experience for both artists and shoppers.”

Admission and parking are free for this indoor event, making it a perfect way to spend a fall day while supporting local artisans.
