Coming Soon to Gallery 100! Beginning July 10, Gallery 100 welcomes the work of figurative artist Avé Madiol Veneklasen in a new exhibition on display through August 28. For more than four decades, Avé has been an artist inspired by beauty in all its forms. Landscapes have long been a central focus of her work, and through Plein Air painting she captures the sense of wonder and connection she experiences in the natural world. Working from her studio on Little Wolf Lake in Grass Lake, Avé draws inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounds her. Her work celebrates color, beauty, and the creative spirit that connects us all. Join us in welcoming Avé to Gallery 100 and experience her vibrant collection beginning July 10. “Being creative is not so much the desire to do something as the listening to that which wants to be done.” - Anni Albers Gallery 100 celebrates the lasting influence of textile artist and educator Anni Albers, whose innovative approach to weaving helped redefine fiber art and inspire generations of artists and makers. That legacy continues in our current exhibition, Juxtaposition, featuring quilted works by Charlotte Wyche. HISTORY
Gallery 100 was the brainchild of Glen Paulson who was a Silver Maples resident. He was an architect with his own firm, a professor in the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at U of M and the President of Cranbrook Academy of Art. He saw the possibilities in an empty hall space at Silver Maples, and the conversion to Gallery 100 was completed in 2009.
The first show featured photographs by Angie and Jim Georg (Ann Arbor) and was a huge success. The Gallery 100 was off and running with shows by local artists changing every two months. Gallery 100 developed on-going relationships with the Chelsea Painters, Chelsea Artists Guild, Ann Arbor Fiber Arts Guild, CAADY quilters and more.
Shows ranged from Birds, Bugs and Beasts which went on to show at the Frankfurt Gallery, to Motor Cycle Mamas, which included vintage motorcycles, to the Prisoners Creative Arts Project artwork and more. The Gallery 100 represents the incredible amount of talent in the region.

Annual Harvest Art Market
Every year in October, Silver Maples hosts the Harvest Art Market, a curated indoor market showcasing original artwork and handcrafted items from local artists. This much-loved event, known as "the best little art market west of Ann Arbor," is a beloved fall tradition for art lovers and collectors alike.
